Why Do We Go Tracting / Soulwinning / Evangelism Every Week?

In the 4 gospels of 89 chapters, there were only 11 instances of people looking for Jesus for salvation ( a few had the privilege of Jesus looking for them)

1. The Pharisees at John’ s baptism Matt 3: 1-12

2. The rich young ruler Matt 19:16-22

3. The demoniac Mark 5: 1-20

4. The woman who was a sinner Luke 7:36-50

5. John 1: 35-42 Andrew

6. John 1:43-45 Philip

7. John1:46-51 Nathanael

8. John 3:1-13 Nicodemus

9. John 4:1-42 Samaritan woman

10. John 4:46-54 Nobleman’s son

11.John 9:1-38- man born blind

The Lord Jesus preached message after message in the 4 gospels about different topics and showed the truths from Heaven. There were thousands who heard Him on the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God BUT only 11 sought after Him for salvation. And of the 11 who sought after Him, fewer still repented of their sin n placed their faith in Him.

Why Do We Go Tracting / Soulwinning Every Week?
Because the sinners will never come to Christ for salvation unless we go. And of those who come, they have to be confronted with their sin, God’s righteousness and the word of truth. They then have to repent from their sin and turn in faith to the cross and the Lord Jesus for salvation.

Which was why the Great Commission starts with the word GO YE …
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Luke 14:21-23 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

As the Lord Jesus went everywhere preaching
Luke 4:43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
And the disciples went everywhere preaching
Acts 8:4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word.

May we be faithful in going soulwinning / tracting… for the purpose

  1. Of faithfully obeying our Saviour’s Great Commission Matt 28:18 – 20
  2. Of reaching the sinners who will never come if we do not go Romans 10:14
  3. That if sinners do not know Christ they will be in the lake of fire forever Rev 20:15
  4. Of being like Christ Luke 19:10
  5. Of being thankful for our salvation John 1:41
  6. Of our firm belief in the pretribulational Rapture 1 Thess 4:16 – 18
  7. Of paying the gospel debt to those who have never heard the word of God Romans 1:14I pray these words will lead you to a commitment before God to be a soul winner for the rest of your life.  And i pray you will know first hand the joy of helping someone to know Jesus and the person’s soul is saved eternally in Christ, simply because you went out soulwinning  . 😊
