There are many attributes of God manifested to this undeserving world, but the one attribute that changes the life of everyone who comes to God is the love of God. There are three types of love in the Bible: eros – the intimate love between man and wife; phileo – the friendship love between two close companions, and agape: unconditional love; the love that gives and meets the needs of the one loved, without asking for anything in return. God is agape! Hear three wonderful thoughts about God in his love.

God is love
God does not just possess love, He is love! His very essence and his very being is love. He does not run out of love. He is so full of love that it overflows and overwhelms whoever that will allow His love to come in. Wherever He goes, true love goes. God is the origin and giver of true love. God is love!

God’s love is commended to us
God commendeth his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

God did not keep his love to himself, He showed it to us. We were sinners on our way to hell. We did not deserve heaven or God’s forgiveness but God’s love was so great that He reached out in love, knowing the consequences that awaits us if nothing was done. He then sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins. The only solution to our problem of sin was the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus at the Cross. Thank God for His love shown to us!

God’s love is eternal just as God is eternal; His love does not end.
He will never leave us or forsake us. When our sorrows overwhelm us, situations oppress us and friends reveal their true unfaithful character, God’s love never change. Because God changes not (Malachi 3:6), His love does not change. He does not leave us but keeps on loving us consistently, consistently, and continuously. Nothing changes God’s love.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
