Overcome Evil with Good
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:20-21 How do we respond in a way that befits a child of God after enduring the insults, persecutions and opposition of the enemy and obeying God in giving place for wrath? When Loving Means to Hate
…Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Romans 12:9 Apostle Paul is exhorting the believers in Rome to have love without pretence. To the Romans love means lusting, and thinking of oneself. It refers to a commitment to self and selfish needs and never considering others, unless it benefit ourselves. What a contrast to the principles of the bible and the heart of GOD, who loved the world so much that He gave His Son to die for the sins of this world.
